Church is more than an hour on Sunday. Here's how people at Penshurst get to know each other.
Morning tea, every Sunday
After the service we hang around for coffee, tea and something to eat. It's the easiest way to meet people, and the kids love the chance to run around. If you're new, someone will probably come and say hi. If they don't, grab the person nearest the table of food!
Lunch, once a month
On the second Sunday of each month we stay on after church and have lunch together. Visitors are always welcome, so don't worry about bringing anything your first time.
Small groups
Small groups are an opportunity to spend time reading the Bible and talking about the implications of faith with other like-minded believers. It's a chance to discuss your faith and to encourage others by sharing about your life and praying for one another. If you'd like to join one, let us know and Jono will be in touch.
Come and say hi
The best way to start is to come along on a Sunday at 10am and stay for morning tea.
